Yas Island
Five Reasons to Love Ferrari World, Even If Red is Not Your Colour
Anyone who has spent more than three days in Abu Dhabi has probably seen the white mosque, the markets and the marina and then headed straight for Yas Island. This is where you find a golf course, a huge water park and a unique theme park aptly named Ferrari World. What makes it special?

A unique building
The futuristic red roof is impossible to miss when you fly over Abu Dhabi. The park opened in November 2010 and the building was designed by Benoy. It is shaped like a three-pointed star and its lines echo the body of a Ferrari GT.
The roof covers more than 200,000 m² and carries the largest Ferrari logo ever made. The theme park beneath it takes up 86,000 m².
Formula Rossa
The iconic roller coaster fires you from zero to 240 km/h in 4.9 seconds. From its opening until the end of 2025 it was the fastest in the world; then Falcon’s Flight in Saudi Arabia overtook it. It keeps the record for the fastest launch. We suggest skipping the snack stands before the ride.
More Ferrari-style rides
The park now has around 40 attractions. On the Fiorano GT Challenge the cars are shaped like the Ferrari F430. Turbo Track shoots the brave through a glass funnel in the roof to a height of about 64 metres. Newer rides worth a mention are Flying Aces and Mission Ferrari.
A 4D experience
Put on the glasses, sit back and let the perfect illusion of driving a Formula car carry you away. As if Hamilton or Schumacher had taken you for a spin.
Original Ferrari merchandise
What would a theme park be if you could not take a piece of it home. Even if you dodge the souvenirs all day, you leave through a huge shop: T-shirts, caps, bags, pens, mugs, suitcases and luxury Ferrari watches.
